Gathr – UX/UI Case Study
Gathr is a conceptual social app designed to help users form real-life connections through local events and shared interests. Targeted at people navigating new cities or life changes, the app aims to reduce social anxiety and encourage follow-through from sign-up to attendance. Through user research and empathy mapping, I identified key barriers to engagement and built a UI that feels warm, intuitive, and community-driven. The final prototype blends thoughtful design with practical features like interest filters and in-app chats to turn digital outreach into real-world friendships.

1. Home/Loading Screen: A clean, inviting splash screen with Gathr's playful orbit-inspired logo, signaling movement, connection, and ease of use.

2. Event Ticket View Digital ticket with scannable QR, user photo, and event details—designed for seamless check-in and a personalized experience.

3. Community Chatroom: In-app group chat encourages pre-event bonding and eases social anxiety, helping users feel connected before they arrive.

4. User Profile & Event History: Users can track upcoming and past events, follow other attendees, and build a profile rooted in real-world activity.

5. Event Discovery Filter: Advanced filters for time, category, price, and location empower users to find events that match their lifestyle and comfort zone.

6. Event Details & Sharing Options: Detailed event screen with RSVP count and social sharing features to promote attendance and word-of-mouth engagement.
